Nivolik Blooms are, thankfully, quite rare
because they are secretive plant creatures.
They stride among the forests, swamps, and jungles
of the universe hunting their prey. Their main
method of attack comes as various forms of projectile
attacks that range from poison spines to clouds
of noxious spores.
After a target has been neutralised, one of
the Bloom's many arms grabs the victim and
stuffs
it into the hidden mouth beneath its body.
Once inside the Bloom, victims are slowly
digested
over a period of 7 days. Although solitary
hunters and shy by nature, Blooms will attack
any aggressors
without mercy.
The Nivolik Bloom is a prime example of how
a trip to your local craft store can score you
a cool monster to use in your games of Warhammer
40,000. Ty Finocchiaro was looking through the
floral department for bits to make a suitable
Venus Mantrap and stumbled upon a bundle of
plastic leaves with a strange rubber root system.
Bingo!
With just a bit of work with clippers to remove
the leaves, you have a huge, scary, plant creature
to stalk the wilds of your game table.
